The Play-date Era
I’m learning to navigate allergies, screen-time (and homework, soccer, jiu-jitsu, basketball, something named aqua-kikz, etc., etc.,)
Anyhoo…Give the 5-year old neighborhood kid some cocoa:
me: You want more cocoa?
kid: No. First of all, it’s hot. Second of all, it’s really hot. Third of all, I’m not even done with my first cup because there’s too many marshmallows.
me: okay…
five minutes later…
kid: I’m ready for that refill.
