Daily Haiku

all my shirts are blue
my slacks are grey, my jeans dark blue
that is how I dress

edit: My “only buy blue shirts / only buy grey pants” rule is fairly rigid. I own one green shirt, which I hate…and one pair of khakis, also hated. Every other summer I buy new summer clothes. Every alternate fall, new rest of the year clothes. This year is summer’s turn. It’s the best self-imposed life-rule ever. The second best rule is “never buy bread when you can make your own.” There are no other rules.

edit 2: I forgot that during summer, the only shorts allowed are no-pleat khakis. They are the exception to the grey pants or jeans rule. I’ve owned all my no-pleat khaki shorts for so long that I forget them.
